| Résumé : | More precisely, we sustain that five disciplinary fields can be distinguished in the scientific literature; they are highly intertwined and destined to evolve, brought together under an umbrella and interdisciplinary notion that we propose to designate as 'environmental psychiatry.' We present, successively, according to a hierarchical relationship that starts with the person and increasingly broadens to environmental factors: transcultural psychiatry, global psychiatry, exposomic psychiatry, ecological psychiatry, and one health psychiatry. Herein, we define each of these fields and outline the issues that they encompass. Finally, we show how environmental psychiatry offers the opportunity to bring together these five disciplinary fields in a fruitful framework for psychiatry. [extrait de l'introduction] |
